HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR GRADE

Make Up Work and Quizzes

STEP 1

Are you current on all your lessons, tests, quizzes, and portfolios?

  1. Live Lessons: Are you attending our Live Lessons? Have you watched the recordings?

  2. Message Board Resources: Have you been looking at the Test Study Guides before your tests and reading the Portfolio Help in the Message Boards? If not, utilize these resources.

  3. Office Hours: Come to your  teacher’s office hours and ask  questions. Click here to see your teacher’s Office Hours info.

STEP 2

Go through your gradebook and look for any score that is a D (60%-69%) or lower. If it is a test, discussion, or portfolio, click the grade link and view teacher feedback.

  • For tests: You need to copy and paste the short answer questions you are re-answering in the webmail and then revise your answer. (Partial Credit back)

  • For portfolio items: Review teacher feedback and then webmail your teacher a request to resubmit. Be sure to give your teacher the unit and lesson number of the portfolio in your webmail. Your teacher will reopen your dropbox for you and you can upload your resumitted portfolio there.

  • For Discussions: Webmail me when you have made require revisions.

(See Test, Quiz, and Portfolio Revisions for more information)

STEP 3

If you have made up all your lessons and resubmitted for make up credit (and have not been asked for further revisions) please book an appointment with  your teacher and we can discuss an appropriate extra credit assignment(s). Please note, an extra credit assignment will have the same amount of rigor as the other assignments in the class and will require the same amount of effort

EXTRA CREDIT

All English 10 teachers offer extra credit for revising written answers on tests or portfolios (see revision policy).
Each teacher has their own extra credit policy and opportunities. Reach out to your teacher to ask about extra credit.
